I write about all kinds of software development topics, the occasional career story, whatever projects Iām working on, and, above all, the craft of writing good code.

š§ Added IPv4 connectivity. I stubbornly launched this site IPv6-only to nudge the world forward. Reality check: a non-trivial chunk of people (corporate VPNs, hotels, legacy ISPs) just could not reach it.
So now it's dual-stack (stable primary IPv4 + IPv6). If you previously saw timeouts, it should work for you now.
Still: deploy IPv6 everywhere. It's 2025.
Previous note about staying IPv6-only kept for posterity (and mild embarrassment).
š Welcome to Scatterarrow.com! It's finally up. Going to see lots of changes still, but it is up! :)
š§ This site currently only has an IPv6 address. For cost reasons mostly. In my naivety I thought IPv6 is surely well established and usable for everyone in the modern world now. That may be, but at least in less than modern Germany, some of my friends can't reach this site from their work, hotel or home internet - because they only got IPv4! What the f.... how old is IPv6 now and why isn't it standard yet? Then I found this article explaining it.
"Be the change you want to see in the World." - I'm going to stick with IPv6 for the moment.
